<What did you learn through the program especially in internship>
I participated in an online internship at the Philippine Stock Exchange. I proposed improvement measures for the change in listing rules and recommended indices for the development of new ESG indices. It was a pleasure and a rewarding experience to be in charge of such an important task for the Philippine Stock Exchange. In addition, in order to conduct research on start-up companies, I was able to experience the dynamism of Asian countries through interviews with entrepreneurs and participation in pitch events.
＜How the experience may help your current / future job?＞
After completing the program, I am working at a domestic sales branch as a sales manager. My experience as a project manager during my online internship has been useful in my current job. In addition, when communicating in English, I made sure to write minutes and confirmation emails after every meeting to ensure communication. I feel that this is also very beneficial in relationship with our clients.
＜Message for the new researchers＞
The year I spent in this program was one of the most exciting times of my life. During the program, I was able to pursue topics of interest to me. I was also able to broaden my thinking by experiencing diverse cultures and values.
The personal connections and strong bonds with my classmates that I have gained through this program are a great asset to me. I think it is important to set clear goals early on in the program, because one year goes by very quickly. By taking the initiative, I hope you will have a meaningful time.
